A version of the browser is available for the Maemo platform!
The mobile version of the Firefox browser is now available for the Nokia Maemo platform based on Linux. By default, the N900 terminal of the Finnish mark includes a web browser based on Mozilla technology. Nokia N900 customers can now enjoy “same experience that provides desktop on your mobile device version Firefox navigation”, ensure the Foundation. This version also synchronizes with Firefox for computers. Users may customize the browser “by including unique tastes and habits of each navigation function”, says Mozilla. Some add-ins that may be installed on the mobile version of the browser are: AdBlock Plus, URL Fixer, TwitterBar, translators of languages and tourist guides and YouTube Enabler that enhances the experience of playing YouTube videos.
As in the desktop version of Firefox, the mobile version also provides a platform for developers to create complex applications, improve and customize the browser. Some of the features already seen in the desktop version is also available in this new mobile version as: bar that allows you to go to websites by just typing the first few characters thanks to its intelligent; search engine Weave sync (Weave sync); customize the browser through the inclusion of small programs and applications, games and news; readers allows maps and relevant information on the location of the user…
By the time Firefox mobile is compatible with the Nokia Maemo 5 platform and can be downloaded to the Nokia N900 model. Available in more than 30 languages.
