Norwegian company Opera Software proudly announced that the number of unique users of mobile versions of the Opera Web browser one month exceeded 100 million. According to the official press release in January there were 15 million visitors to your Web pages using Opera Mobile and 90.36 m using Opera Mini. The figure of 5.6% exceeds the result December 2010 and 81.6% January of that year.
According to Jon von, one of the founders of Opera Software, the Internet is on the threshold of a change of leader when traditional going online via PC give mobile. Opera has been able to offer users a browser that doesn’t need much resources and “doesn’t make users every few hours to recharge the mobile phone”.
In the future popularity of mobile browser, Opera will rise as is coming soon, several versions for different platforms, including Android, iPhone, J2ME, BlackBerry, Symbian and the iPad. These applications will be showcased at MWC 2011 in Barcelona.
