Windows Phone 7 mobile was launched last autumn, and so far little has proved itself in the market. However, the research firm Gartner claims that sales of smartphones in 2015 will reach 1 billion pieces, of which 19.5% will be based on WP.

IDC, Ovum analysts, ABI Research does not agree with Gartner, considering that Windows Phone will not take more than 10% of the market in 2016.
