Samsung announced DDR3 RDIMM Memory modules
The range of “green” products of Samsung Electronics new DDR3 RDIMM MEMORY modules, which are voltage around 1.25 v. Novelties focus on cost-effective enterprise-class server systems.
Samsung DRAM chip modules use 30-nm class. They operate with effective frequency of 1333 Mhz and have power consumption 3.7 watts-hours. This is 15% less compared to modules that operate at 1.35 v supply.
In a series of low voltage modules will include models with capacity of 4, 8 and 16 Gb.
