Sony Walkman NW-Z1000 player based on Android (Gingerbread 2.3) announced
A few weeks after the announcement of Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman, Walkman line with another player-based Android operating system.
In Japan, was submitted to the new player Sony Walkman NW-Z1000 running Android Gingerbread 2.3. Its prototype was demonstrated at the exhibition, IFA 2011, held in early September in Berlin.
Specification Sony Walkman NW-Z1000 incorporates dual NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor at 1 GHz, 4.3 “touchscreen with a resolution 480h800 pixels (WVGA), GPS chipset, and wireless adapters Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, HDMI connector, FM radio and 512 MB RAM. Furthermore, aware of the support DLNA technology device.
With regard to the software, it should be noted the presence on board device video and audio players, as well as applications for photo viewing and noise reduction.
In playback mode, music player is capable to work without having to be recharged before 8:0 pm, when viewing a video — up to 5:0. Dimensions of the device are equal to 134, 4h70, 9h11, 1 mm, weight-156 g, casing color-black and red. Sales in Japan in-between 10 December. Expected to release three versions with different amount of built-in memory from 16 GB (NW-Z1050, price — $363), 32 GB (NW-Z1060, $ 685) and 64 GB (NW-Z1070, $559). The prospects of realizing the Sony Walkman NW-Z1000 outside Japan are not yet known.
