Windows 8 Killing Feature (built-in functionality to connect or work with your Phone)
Windows 8 will make calls or send SMS with the Tablet? Some evidence on videos with Developers Conference BUILD suggest that future Windows tablets will gain some functionality of phones.
On the first of these screenshots you can see an inscription “Missed calls (missed calls)”, video, contacts, Text and Chat (text messages, including SMS and chat) “and” Call mobile (Call to a mobile phone).
However, it should also be remembered that all this can be interpreted quite differently. For example, SMS is described in the video, only as an alternative function, which may simply extends your existing SMS-functionality of Windows Live. Or for reception of messages and calls will need close interaction with Smartphones, Windows Phone, as suggested in the synchronization functions HP Pre 3 and TouchPad. It should also be borne in mind that when developing Windows 8, the company has focused on cloud services, so that messages about missed calls can simply be transferred to a registered device via the Internet.
However, the inclusion of a link “make a call to a mobile phone in the contact profile says about greater (assuming that this is no ordinary sketch interface, of course). However, it is worth remembering that Microsoft acquired Skype service and is going to integrate the service into all its products, so it is hard to imagine that Skype will not be in the Metro-interface Windows 8.
